Cuckoo clock with forest log roof

This Cuckoo clock shows a typical Black Forest House with a forest log style roof. A hand crafted figurine of a girl stands to the right and a goat is curled up beside her. Other decoration includes fir trees on either side. This is a stunning clock that highlights the skill and high quality of August Schwer hand carvings and hand painting.

There is a platform of dancers that turn as the music plays. The case is finished in an antique walnut finish. 8 day rack-strike movement with a cuckoo call on the half and full hour. The high quality Swiss (Reuge) music plays a twin melody that alternates between Edelweiss and the Happy wanderer. Manual night shut-off.
